- Biography
Sharon began her career teaching high school math in Atlanta, Georgia. She taught high school for 11 years. During her “baby phase” she decided to stay at home for the next 10 years. These 10 years were not only spent being a mom, but also tutoring math students. This gave her the opportunity to teach students one-on-one and really learn what caused them confusion in mathematics. In 2009, she returned to the classroom at Georgia Perimeter College. She developed an interest in making math videos. When her daughter and four nephews were about to embark on their Algebra years, she decided to create a website to ensure they all had a good foundation. Even though she loves making videos, she is the most proud of creating her website by following directions on You Tube. Making videos also enabled Sharon to teach hybrid classes. She graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Math Education. She received her Master’s degree from Georgia State University in 1988. She also has her sixth year degree, DAS (Diploma of Advanced Studies in Teaching) from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
