- Biography
After working as an engineer in the aircraft industry for four years, Dr. Scott Tichenor returned to school to pursue a Ph.D. in Mathematics to become a professor. After leaving the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign “all but dissertation,” he taught at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, and then Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois, for seven years. In the summer of 2019, he successfully defended his dissertation and earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from UIUC. He has been a professor at the Clarkston Campus of GSU since the Fall semester of 2019.
