- Biography
Dr. Phillip Smith serves as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University-Perimeter College, Decatur Campus. He earned his B.S. in Political Science from Kennesaw State University in 2004, where he was an active member of Pi Sigma Alpha and specialized in International Relations. Following this, Dr. Smith pursued his graduate studies at Norwich University, completing his M.A. in Diplomacy with a focus on International Terrorism in 2007. Subsequently, he was admitted to the Ph.D. program in DCAR at Nova Southeastern University in Florida, where he successfully defended his dissertation titled “The Axe without the Handle: An Exploratory Analysis of Ecoterrorism and its Relationships towards U.S. Public Policy towards Terrorism 1990-2010.” Additionally, Dr. Smith has shared his research on topics including the war in Ukraine and drone warfare.
