- Biography
Marissa McNamara holds an MA in American Studies and is an Associate Professor of English at the Clarkston Campus of Perimeter College of Georgia State University. In addition to serving as the editor for the 21st edition of The Polishing Cloth, she is a reader for The Chattahoochee Review. Her contributions to supporting creative writing at the college include work on the Coffee Shop reading series and the poetry slam.
She teaches and tutors in men’s and women’s prisons in the Atlanta area.
Her work has appeared in creative journals including The Cortland Review, RATTLE, Ninepatch, A Creative Journal for Women and Gender Studies, and New Purlieu Review.
