- Biography
Assoc. Prof. Bennett presently teaches Elementary Statistics online for Perimeter College at Georgia State. She has been teaching undergraduate mathematics courses for over 35 years, both face-to-face, hybrid, and online. After earning an undergraduate degree in Music Education and Mathematics, she began as a teaching assistant while earning her Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Georgia. She then taught as an Instructor at UGA and at Mercer University for several years and earned additional course credits in Probability at Georgia Institute of Technology. She joined DeKalb College in 1991 which later became Georgia Perimeter College which is now fully part of GSU. She is heavily involved in curriculum development at GSU and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Committee on Promotion and Tenure. She is an active member of the American & Georgia Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges and the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity.
