- Biography
Bonnie Young joined the faculty at Perimeter College, (formerly Ga. Perimeter College) in 1991 as Assistant Professor and Head Softball Coach. After 10 successful years of coaching both slow and fast pitch teams she returned full time to the classroom. She then accepted the Chair of Kinesiology and Health Department in 2008. During her tenure at Perimeter College she has taught just about all the courses that are offered and has a wide knowledge within the Kinesiology field. Currently her teaching focuses mainly on the First Aid Course and Physiology Lab course.
Her Bachelor, Masters and Specialist degree are all from Murray State University in Murray Kentucky. Her specialist degree was designed specifically for working in the two year college setting which is what drew her to Perimeter College initially. Her Doctorate degree is from the University of Alabama with a Higher Education Administration Concentration.
Having grown up in Alabama and going to the University she is an avid Bama fan. Outside of working at the college she enjoys golfing, scuba diving and generally being outdoors.
