- Biography
Barrett Walls was born in Atlanta, and he grew up in the small town of Hephzibah in eastern Georgia. He received a degree in mathematics from M.I.T. and a doctorate in applied mathematics with a concentration in computer science from Georgia Tech. He has taught math at Perimeter College for over twenty years. He has been a faculty advisory and coach for the Dunwoody Math Club since he came here. His teams have six first-place wins and five second-place finishes in regional math tournaments.
