- Biography
Barbara Robertson, MA, is an Instructor in Political Science at Georgia State University’s Perimeter College, teaching Global Issues, Introduction to American Government, and Introduction to Political Science in various combinations of face-to-face, online, and simulcast instruction. Bachelor of Arts in both History and Political Science from Georgia Southern University. Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia with a major in International Affairs. Scholarship in American Government and Politics, American History, International Politics, and Middle Eastern Politics and History. Published SOTL research concerning the impact of video lectures on student outcomes. Member of team designing and overseeing college-wide implementation of “Critical Thinking in the Age of Misinformation” module to promote media literacy and democracy. Currently a member of the “Teaching Democratic Erosion” cross-university consortium (https://www.democratic-erosion.com/). Service on GSU’s Civic Engagement and Constitution Day committee.
Recipient of GSU’s Outstanding Junior Faculty Award (2020); a Governor’s Teaching Fellow (2019); two “Teaching Excellence” awards bestowed by the Georgia Political Science Association.
