Welcome to the Strategic Plan website for Georgia State University’s Perimeter College.
Message from the Strategic Planning Committee Co-Chairs
Dr. Eric T. Morton & Karen Wheel-Carter, J.D.
Student success is a key focus for Georgia State University and is formalized in the university’s strategic plan. At Perimeter College, our historic commitment to student success is now enhanced by college and university resources and programs that benefit our students. We must be thoughtful and strategic in our endeavors if we are to build further on the college’s five-decade track record.
As we begin to develop Perimeter College’s Strategic Plan for the next five years, we invite faculty, staff and students to participate. Your voices and ideas are essential to the process.
Please bookmark this Web page and return to it regularly to follow developments, key calendar dates and opportunities to be involved in the planning process. This website also is where you will be able to submit your thoughts and ideas and upload documents for consideration.
The Process
The process will begin with a review of Perimeter Colleges mission and the relationship of that mission to the university strategic plan. Perimeter College faculty, staff and students will have the opportunity to offer input through town hall meetings, online forms and other mechanisms designed to solicit feedback and participation.
The schedule for town hall meetings is:
Alpharetta Campus – Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2 p.m. – Building AA, Room 2300
Clarkston Campus – Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2 p.m. – JCLRC (Jim Cherry Learning Resource Center), Auditorium
Decatur Campus – Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1:30 p.m. – Building SB, Room 2210
Dunwoody Campus – Thursday, Feb. 8, 2 p.m. – Building NC, Room 1100
Newton Campus – Thursday, Feb. 15, 1:30 p.m. – Building 2N, Auditorium
We invite Perimeter College faculty, staff and students to attend one or more of these events.
This website will keep you updated on strategic plan developments and opportunities to get involved. Once the strategic planning process is completed, this website will serve as the online resource for the final strategic plan, as well as to track successes and progress toward goals.
Thank you for your commitment to strengthening the vision, mission and goals of Perimeter College. Together, we can determine the best path to ensure even greater academic success for our students.
