Students who wish to be recognized as an Honors Scholar must complete 12 hours of honors course credit at the 1000 and 2000 level while maintaining a 3.3 overall GPA.
Honors Research Scholar
Students who wish to be recognized as an Honors Research Scholar would complete all of the requirements for the Honors Scholar recognition and need to complete one of the following three research activities:
- Present at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC).
- Submit a manuscript to DISCOVERY, the Honors College Research Journal.
- Present at a professional or student-oriented research conference.
*Participation in a study abroad experience can count for 3 hours toward the 12-hour honors course requirement, unless it is an honors abroad experience.
