Honors Dimensions are modifications to an on-level course that are made to receive honors credit in that course. Modified course components are to be determined by the student and faculty member before submitting the Honors Dimension form for final approval. The decisions should include defining the topic you wish to pursue as part of the dimension, determining one-on-one meeting times with the faculty member, and deciding how your final grade will be determined.
Please note that proposals with a high degree of specificity are most often approved. Your responses, therefore, should reflect that (a) there is enough material in the field to be studied, and (b) that you have done enough research to know what specifically you want to read and study during the semester. “I want to study the issue of human rights” is undesirable as a proposal, for example, because it is too broad. Similarly, a proposal to read only a single article in an area is insufficient because it is too narrow.
